What is your thoughts on supplements? What works for you and your horse? Let’s not be brutal remember horses are like people. What works for some may not work for others. As always contact your veterinarian with any questions you may have. I like to write posts about where my mind has wondered today. Today’s hot topic: Supplements for the Barrel Horse. However, I like to think this carries over to the flat track racers, endurance riders, trail riders, back yard weekend warriors, lawn ornaments, as well as the barrel racers. Here is what people are saying works for them. Do Not Forget Do Your Research! Colostrum is good…

    Tipperary Titan Helmet

Yesterday was our first race of the year an open race at Indiana Grand Racing and Casino. It was a training race for Nik to get him prepped for an Indiana Bred Race which is where he mostly belongs (if you use a open race you don’t loose your date for the Indiana Bred races and if your lucky enough to hit the board you get an added bonus I believe) he has yet to hit and get his picture taken in the circle but hopefully in due time. I always like to learn from every experience I have at the track! If you don’t ask questions you will never…

    Breyerfest on a Budget

Breyerfest Tips Tricks and Breyerfest on the Budget Breyerfest on the Budget because, Sometimes it is just not economically possible to go everywhere you want to go and do all you want to do. But that doesn’t stop us from giving it our best shot. My sisters and I had a ball while doing Breyerfest on the Cheap. We hopped in our buggy (SUV) armed with its backpack (luggage carrier) for the items we purchased and drove down to Lexington Kentucky home of Breyerfest at Kentucky Horse Park. There is so much to do we didn’t even miss not having the exclusive three day ticket. And we enjoy doing Breyerfest…

Advocare Spark Energy Drink for the Equestrain

I must give credit where credit is due… lol Thank you Bekah Callaway Advocare Rep for turning me onto this. I enjoy a good energy drink from time to time! My choice Advocare Spark at the moment my fave flavor is mandarin orange, although I do enjoy their other flavors also and I have only had their “energy shots” once on a solo trip (I had my mighty side kick Brave with me) to get my horse from the trainer at Fairmount Park Illinois, let me tell you that is really good stuff!!!!! I believe it helped me stay alert on the long haul…. More on Advocare coming soon.
